Are you the type of person who follows a recipe to the T? Do you get frustrated because it doesn’t come out the way you thought it would, or the way your friend made it? Everyone needs to understand that what energy is behind that recipe, the preparation of the ingredients, the passion or love that was put into the dish, always affects the final flavor outcome!
Please don’t let that deter you from cooking. Making a dish your own, gives it a signature. Hopefully a good one! lol Always take it slow, pay attention, start small with seasonings and spices, and be in the moment. Rushed cooking should be saved for the nights that the kids have 900 things going on and you have two seconds to be 50 places at once. I believe this is why fast food was invented, and I will agree it is much easier on thoses days.
Crock pot cooking is something that I do on really busy days. I can put dishes together in the morning before I leave to go to the restaurant, and get kids to school, set it on low, and then know, that when I get home, a great meal awaits!!
Home cooked meals can still be accomplished, there is still hope!! Don’t give up! Your family will thank you in some form or fashion for remembering to feed them, when there stomachs are growling!! Make those dishes with love, passion, and the highest energy you are able to attain!!! Love goes along ways.
